Overview Kantishna Roadhouse (KRH) is a full-service, backcountry lodge located 90 miles into the pristine natural wonder of Denali National Park in a remote area where few are lucky enough to travel. The season at Kantishna Roadhouse is June 4 – September 14. JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Expeditor will provide safe, reliable, efficient, and prompt transportation of Kantishna Roadhouse guests, day-trippers and freight to and from Denali Air and other park entrance locations Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receives, inspects, sorts, and documents all outgoing freight Checks mail once a week in Denali and inspects and sorts to be put on freight plane Maintain time schedules and maintain driver’s log book Perform pre-trip inspections on the delivery trucks to include checking all fluid levels and adding fuel regularly and keep the interior of the vehicles, including windows, clean Contact suppliers, procure supplies, pick-up and deliver supplies Review invoices and packing slips to verify that orders are complete Assist in resolving receiving and invoice discrepancies and return damages supplies when necessary Perform other related duties as assigned Maintains cleanliness of KRH vehicle Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions to management Operates company vehicle picking up and delivering freight to Denali Air, and transporting guests to and from Denali Air Other duties as assigned DOYON LIMITED CORE COMPETENCIES: Commitment to Excellence – Identifies what needs to be done and takes action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations. SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age 25 years High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska Clean Driver Record (Applicants must provide a current copy of their driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles) Must be able to lift 50lbs. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Lifting luggage and freight in and out of transportation vehicle.
