General Description\n

Performs skilled maintenance, repair, adjustment, and minor construction in the trades to ensure facilities are maintained to meet Tyonek standards. Assists Facility Manager in planning and executing facility maintenance and repair projects. Duties may fall into a variety of trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety, and keys\/security systems. \n

Duties\n\nPerforms preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components; tests system competency and component devices and evaluates performance. Assists Facility Manager in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work and recommends approaches to preventative maintenance programs.\nRepairs and maintains a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment\/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors and related hardware and software; constructs and maintains indoor\/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related; conducts structural inspections for safety.\nPerforms service and preventative maintenance on building and building systems. Some systems may be specific to aircraft related occupancies.\nAccesses and adjusts computerized control systems such as lighting and HVAC control systems.\nPerforms electronic record keeping, in the CMMS (Manager Plus), related to preventative maintenance and repair of buildings, building systems, and assets. Tracks and completes assigned work orders and work requests. Updates schedules for preventative maintenance. \nResponds to customer maintenance needs via work requests. \nTrack facility assets in Manager Plus asset management software. \nResponds to facility emergencies and closures due to inclement weather to ensure facilities remain operational.\nAssists with tasks required to prepare facilities for inclement weather events.\nFollow all safety procedures of Tyonek when performing all work.\nAvailable to be on call in the event of facility emergencies.\nOperate a Tyonek vehicle.\nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nUtilize rental equipment as job tasks require.\nOther Duties as assigned\n\n

Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\n6-10 years of facility maintenance experience. Two years education or formal training, or associates degree, in facilities maintenance trades may substitute for two years' experience. \nExperience with complex life safety and fire suppression systems.\nExperience working in aircraft facilities. \nAbility to read schematics and building drawings.\nAble to obtain a SIDA badge clearance through the airport.\nValid driver's license.\nExperience with computerized maintenance management software. Preferably Manger Plus.\nAbility to utilize mobile devices to complete work tasks. \nExperience with Microsoft Software Suite.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
