This Opportunity

WSP is beginning a search for a Fare Collection Manager to join our client's Baltimore, MD office. This is a strictly on-site position, not hybrid. We are seeking an ideal candidate with fare collection expertise and prior experience working in a transit agency. Join our Transit & Rail Revenue Management Team to contribute to projects and be part of a dynamic organization that effectively addresses our client's goals and resolves their difficulties.

Your Impact Performs a variety of duties in the design, development and maintenance of fare collection systems and other system facilities Oversee the management of the fare collection lab and testing environment, including equipment setup and configuration. Develop standardized operating and testing procedures and facilitate the coordination and implementation of software and hardware testing. Act as a liaison between the lab testing and fare maintenance teams, ensuring smooth coordination of activities. Provide support to the fare maintenance team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and other fare collection devices and systems. Develop and implement processes and procedures necessary for the implementation, operation, and monitoring of fare collection systems and devices. Assist in the development of procurement documents, operating agreements, and other agreements such as RFPs, RFIs, Scope of Work, and KPIs. Create and deliver technical and operational training programs for device and system operations, repair, and maintenance. Utilize technical and operational expertise to evaluate existing fare collection systems and devices. Contribute to the development of strategic and tactical plans and programs for future system and device operations, modifications, enhancements, and replacements. Monitor revenue reporting, identifying any exceptions and resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with revenue control and fare collection equipment maintenance staff to troubleshoot fare collection equipment, revenue counting, and reporting issues. Responsible for preparing status, sales, and progress reports, as well as making recommendations for smart card and fare collection policy. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. 12+ years of professional experience in planning, design, installation, testing and commissioning of fare collection system Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and multi-tasks across multiple projects; Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills; Takes responsibility and accountability for ensuring the project produces required results to the scope, milestones, quality and budget; Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications

Compensation

Expected Salary: $111,000 - $155,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
