Financial Analyst
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Knoxville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the VP of FP & A, and will be instrumental in providing financial analysis for up to 600 departments. This role falls within the finance industry, with a focus on financial analysis, KPI reporting, and accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to ensure fiscal stability and growth • Collaborate with the management team on special projects requiring financial insight • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision making • Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions • Utilize Data Mining Techniques to analyze and interpret financial data • Oversee the Profit and Loss (P& L) statements for various departments to ensure financial accuracy • Maintain and update income statements to reflect accurate financial status • Leverage tools such as Power BI to enhance financial reporting and analysis. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar capacity. • Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques is required to effectively analyze and interpret complex data. • A deep understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary to ensure accurate financial forecasting. • Expertise in Financial Analysis is crucial for making informed business decisions and strategy development. • The ability to conduct Variance Analysis is necessary to identify and explain the causes of different financial outcomes. • Proficiency in KPI Reporting is needed to track and analyze key performance indicators, aiding in business performance improvement. • Must have a solid understanding of Profit and Loss statements to analyze the company's revenues, costs, and expenses during a specific period. • Familiarity with Income Statements is important to understand the company's earnings and expenses over a specific period. • Knowledge of Power BI is essential for creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities.
