(Typically gained by successful completion of at least two college accounting courses OR successful completion of at least one college accounting course and at least six months of full-time, paid work experience where the primary duties involved accounting/bookkeeping. OR at least one year of full-time, paid work experience where the primary duties involved accounting/bookkeeping. Please note paying bills, collecting money, purchasing items, or maintaining a rotary fund is not qualifying.) + Experience using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data (Typically gained by successful completion of at least two computer courses on electronic spreadsheets/accounting software OR at least one year of using spreadsheets/accounting software.) + Experience researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports (Typically gained by at least one year of experience using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.) The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about financial record keeping methods and have experience in Statewide Accounting System Applications. Additional consideration may be given at the time of interview to candidates who are critical thinkers and problem solvers with strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They are p roficient in Microsoft Excel and Access, and have experience using personal computers to enter, retrieve and edit financial data.
