Steiner Industries, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Stand-up Forklift Operator/Receiving Associate for our warehouse in the North Chicago area (60646). This position will perform a variety of functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and unload all inbound shipments, note, and report any damages and/or discrepancies on BOL Check in product against packing list, noting, and reporting any shortages/overages Turn in receiving paperwork to Receiving Clerk in a timely manner Must operate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsible manner Must be able to retrieve and stack product safely using appropriate equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Properly fill out Overstock paperwork and maintain accurate overstock Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor Applicant will be required to do random sampling for quality control inspection and fill out inspection records.  Training will be provided, prior experience a plus.

 Requirements:

Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 60-75 pounds Previous stand-up forklift operation experience is required Previous order selector operation experience is required Computer knowledge with receiving related tasks Experience with handling receiving paperwork through the process Be a self-starter Must be dependable and a team player Strong attention to detail
