Front-End Software Developer - Onsite
**Description** Applied Research Associates’ (ARA) Software Enterprise Division (SED) is seeking a driven Front-End Software Developer who will have the opportunity to develop against a wide range of technologies and use cases but will primarily be focused on front-end developers. As part of the team, the Developer will be part of a team that is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems. **As a valued member of our team, the Front-End Software Developer will:** + Develop front-end technology solutions using Angular to create both new solutions and modernize existing solutions. + Collaborate horizontally and vertically across multiple teams to create solutions that empower the customer to mission success. + Provide technical guidance and recommendations to leadership on technologies, implementations, and strategies for modern, web-hosted software applications. + Solve challenging, real-world problems for customers. **Front-End Software Developer Requirements:** + **U.S. Citizenship required.** + Due to the work you will perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, a **Secret security clearance is required. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with 5-7 years relevant work experience OR MS with 3-5 years relevant work experience. + Relocation to Reston, VA. + Minimal travel to support customer and client meetings. + Experience with at least one modern web user interface framework (e.g., Angular, React) and comfortable implementing both quick-turnaround proof-of-concept solutions and high quality, production-level solutions in that framework. + Experience with at least one modern software development ecosystem, such as Python, and comfortable implementing quick-turnaround, proof-of-concept solutions in that ecosystem. + Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills. + Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. **Front-End Software Developer Preferences:** + Active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred. + Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field. + DoD 8570 IAT II Status. (e.g., Security+, CSSP, etc.) + Experience with large Angular applications. + Experience working in secure/air-gapped environments. + Experience working in cloud and/or hybrid cloud environments. + Familiarity with software design patterns. + Experience working in an Agile development environment. **Who is ARA?** Do you want to work for a purpose?
