Fuels Quality Control Manager/Site Safety & Health Officer
**Fuels Quality** **Control** **Manager** **/** **Site Safety and Health Officer** **(QCM/SSHO)** **JOB** **DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY** The CQC Manager will be assigned to Department of Defense (DOD) fuels construction project(s) located in various regions. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of QC/SSHO duties and must be onsite during all phases of the construction work. While at the jobsite, the CQC Manager works with the customer and other contractor staff to ensure CQC objectives are met in accordance with the contract requirements and high standards of service delivery are maintained. **DUTIES** **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES** **** **Construction Quality Control Manager** **(QCM)** + Prepareandupdate theQC Plan. + Attendcoordinationmeetingswith the Client,subcontractors,and vendors. + Implement the“Three Phases of Control” for alldefinable features ofwork. + Performinspections to ensure work is completedin compliance withcontractrequirements. + Stop workthatdoes not complywith the contractplansandspecifications anddirectthe removalandreplacementof anydefective work. + Prepareand submit dailyqualitycontrolreports. + Conduct weeklyCQCmeetingsat the jobsite. + Oversee the review andapproval of designandconstructionsubmittals. + Ensure As-Builtdrawings are updated daily. + Coordinate onsite and offsite testing.Maintain atestinglog. + Review invoicesprior toapproval to ensure allrelevantworkhas beencompleted inaccordance with the contractrequirements. + Performpunch-listandpre-final inspections. + Performother dutiesasrequestedbysupervisorsandsenior levelmanagers in supportof successfulperformance on allprojects. **** **Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)** + Prepare and implement health and safety plans for construction projects. + Act as onsite safety representative for the duration of a given contract. + Serve as the SSHO person of contact to conduct the required site and safety analysis and observations. + Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections. + Conduct weekly or daily tailgate safety meetings. + Attach safety inspection logs to the contractors’ daily quality control report. + Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports. + Investigate and resolve health and safety deficiencies. + Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the environmental and safety compliance fields. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS,** **SKILLS,** **AND** **EDUCATIONAL** **REQUIREMENTS** + CQC: A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience (within the last ten (10) years), as a Construction ORa minimum of eight (8) years construction experience (within the last ten (10) years) as a Construction CQC. + Five years of combined experience as aQC Manager/SSHO on similar size and type construction contracts. + Familiar with the requirements of US ArmyCorpsof Engineers,EngineerManual 385-1-1,andexperience in the areas ofhazard identificationand safetycompliance. + Completion of the thirty (30) hour OSHA Construction safety class or as an equivalent, thirty (30) hours of formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA thirty (30) hour + If SSHO has the equivalent training, and additional five (5) years of construction safety experience or three (3) years if the individual possesses a CSP (Certified Safety Professional or safety and health degree.
