In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including prepping surfaces, painting, performing touch-ups, furniture repairs, and tile installations. If you have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a strong understanding of various handyman duties, we encourage you to apply now for this exciting opportunity.

Some of what your day will look like:

Prep surfaces, perform touch-ups, and apply paint and other finishes to multiple surfaces and finishes.Work independently and in a team environment to complete tasks such as cutting and fitting ceiling tiles, repairing furniture and countertops, and installing ceramic tiles.Communicate with clients to determine their painting requirements and guide them in making informed decisions for their projects.Assemble scaffolding as needed for the job.Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with protective coverings to prevent paint damage.Set up safety equipment, such as ventilators, to ensure a safe working environment.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling holes, and sanding until smooth.Apply primer and other sealers to ensure proper adhesion of paint.Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.Apply paint, stain, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.Maintain inventory of supplies like brushes, rollers, and tarps.Remove old finishes using appropriate tools and compounds.Estimate project time and material costs accurately.Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and cleaning aids.Review and implement work orders and assignments.Remove and reinstall fixtures as necessary, such as doorknobs and switch covers.Adhere to safeguards, rules, and regulations, following safety standards at all times.

Who are we looking for

Proven experience as a Handyman or similar roleStrong knowledge and proficiency in various handyman duties and repairs, including painting, furniture repairs, countertop repairs, and tile installationsExcellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their painting and repair requirementsFamiliarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in handyman tasksAbility to interpret work orders and assignments accuratelyBasic mathematical skills for estimating project time and material costsStrong problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during repairs or installationsKnowledge of safety standards and regulations for a safe working environmentValid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as required
