Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Geotechnical Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Develop geotechnical engineering designs, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates for flood walls, levees, bank protection, and pumping stations projectsPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresPerform geotechnical engineering and pavement design services for TxDOT facilitiesConduct slope stability, seepage analysis and other geotechnical engineering studiesMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this positionSupervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as neededPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degreeProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with Microsoft Office applications, MicroStation or other software as appropriateAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Master Degree in Civil/Geotechnical EngineeringMinimum 3 years of Geotechnical Experience
