GIS Analyst - Stormwater

As the GIS Analyst-Stormwater you will primarily support the Stormwater Division at the Sarasota County Government Administrative Center, and could also support Utilities, Parks, and Emergency Management. Hourly pay begins at $25.45 and goes up to $34.35 an hour with GIS degree or experience. Assist and support higher level GIS professionals with larger and more complex GIS projects.Apply knowledge of GIS theory and concepts.Perform GIS analyses utilizing a combination of spatial and tabular data.Assist in the direction of GIS layer creation and maintenance.Perform GIS layer maintenance utilizing advanced technologies such as GPS.Assist in the creation of geodatabase structures and schemas.Provide technical assistance and guidance to Tier I personnel as required.

E-Work/Hybrid Work: Currently this position is eligible to e-work up to 2 days per week! After you complete your first six months, contingent on work requirements and other factors, you’ll be eligible for this fantastic benefit.

CJIS Clearance: **The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years of documented and proven GIS experience. OR- 2 Year Degree in related field and 3 years of documented and proven GIS experience. OR- Bachelor’s degree in geography, geomatics, GIS or related field and one year of documented and proven GIS experience.  OR- Master’s degree in geography, geomatics, GIS or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in updating and maintaining GIS data layers using versioned in a SDE database.Experience viewing/interpreting as-built Record Drawings and AutoCAD files (Viewer).Creation/editing of Utility (Potable, Reclaimed, Raw, Reject and Sanitary Sewer) assets.Utility Network editing, including the use of Feature Templates, Attribute Assistant, Water Network Editing and Reporting toolbars.Geometric Network and Utility Network editing in the versioned and branch versioning environments.Georeferencing.Familiar with domains and subtypes.Ability to create and maintain ArcGIS Online applications and maps (Dashboards, Story Maps, Experience Builder).Experience with ArcGIS ArcMap 10. +, ArcGIS Pro 2.8. +, ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, ArcGIS Suvery123, Collector for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Field Maps applications.

Starting Pay Range: $25.45 - $34.35/hour, based on your experience.

Full Position Salary Range (future earning potential): $25.45 - $43.26/hour
