The Digital Strategy team at Blackstone is a nimble group that oversees a dynamic digital communications strategy focused on strengthening the Blackstone brand and supporting our business groups.

As we expand our team in line with business demand, we are looking for a smart, entrepreneurial professional to take on a new role and lead the firm’s global paid media strategy, working to enhance our brand and drive commercial growth through marketing and communications.              

Responsibilities:

Lead global paid media strategy, planning and execution across brand marketing campaigns

Manage and optimize relationships with external agencies globally, including but not limited to creative agencies, media agencies, and market research firms

Partner with events and brand strategy teams to build and execute industry-leading sponsorship campaigns globally

Work with research and analytics partners to track, measure and optimize paid and social campaigns with an eye towards driving core brand metrics and business outcomes

Public paid media campaigns internally to garner buy-in and generate excitement among key stakeholders

Develop and socialize best practices, standards and policies related to paid media, social media and sponsorships to enable more scalable use of each  

Work with senior partners across business units to integrate paid and social media into their marketing mix and drive business outcomes

Drive innovation across digital content and paid media efforts to elevate the Blackstone brand among core audiences

Oversee the strategy and all content for the firm’s core social media channels

Strategize on social media content pipelines, oversee and curate content calendars

Oversee the firm’s executive social media program by partnering with leaders to define their strategy and create processes to help scale content output efficiently

Partner closely with our Private Wealth Solutions (“PWS”) marketing team to ensure strategic alignment on paid media campaigns targeting financial advisors, including working with their digital strategy, business development and product marketing functions.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have:

15+ years of experience working in social and/or paid media roles on the agency side or in-house

Experience with the latest media tactics across the paid media ecosystem, including OTT / streaming video, audio/podcast, paid social, programmatic, direct buys/sponsored content, OOH, and print

Firsthand experience in the fundamentals of media planning, including media math, budget management, flowcharting, forecasting

Firsthand experience with the execution of media buying, including setting up, trafficking and optimizing campaigns across a range of platforms

In-house experience onboarding, growing and managing a deep bench of agency partners is preferred

Experience with building and overseeing a team of digital / paid media professionals

Experience building and overseeing a social media program for large brands

Is confident in networking effectively within Blackstone to increase the visibility internally of our paid media efforts

An engaging communication style with the ability to distill complex paid media campaigns and performance into simple, clear messages for internal stakeholders

Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues to succeed in cross-functional teams and cultivate partnership

Strong business acumen and knowledge of Blackstone’s business model, the market landscape and key stakeholder segments

Self-starter, organized, motivated with a good sense of humor

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree

Experience in asset management space is preferred

Expected annual base salary range:

$175,000 - $275,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
