GPS&O DIRECTOR / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The GPS&O Director/Executive Director of Strategy and Operations will work closely with the Head of GPS&O and the Commercial, Medical Leadership Team (CMLT) supporting key GPS&O strategy and process initiatives, ensuring effective and efficient functioning of GPS&O team, during this 'high growth' period.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead key department objectives:

Lead and drive a strategic agenda for CMLT bi-weekly meetings, and ensure cross GPS&O topics, including strategy, process, and culture, are curated on an appropriate cadence. Cascade relevant communications to appropriate stakeholders and GPS&O team members and drive accountability for assigned action items. Lead the planning and implementation of the bi-annual GPS&O All Hands meetings and the intermittent virtual all-hands. Lead culture and process teams and initiatives that span across GPS&O to ensure the connectivity, communication and effectiveness are maintained, particularly as we go through the hyper growth period in the next 3 years. GPS&O annual goal The individual will work cross CMLT to develop annual objectives and alignment with key corporate objectives and track the organization's progress on achieving its goals. They will have a broad view across the business, ensuring that leadership meetings run smoothly, and decisions and initiatives are monitored, tracked, and driven to completion. Facilitate quarterly GPS&O Board material Take accountability for background material. Support teams on execution of the Integrated Strategic Planning Lead the annual GPS&O budgeting process with strong collaboration with Finance; simplify work and connectivity across GPS&O teams and mitigate above brand and in-line redundancies. Evolve GPS&O communication channels between the executive and their direct reports to effectively guide and support business leaders with key deliverables and troubleshooting issue sf Communicate effectively with important stakeholders, which include the leadership team and other appropriate stakeholders, both internally and externally. Ensure the executive is always prepared and rarely This includes ensuring all briefing materials are prepared on time and in the best format, vetting the most important presentations and overseeing materials, pre-work, and follow-up. Maintain an objective point of view and consider both sides of complex issues. Be able to present different sides of the same issue and identify alternative ways of dealing with it so that it is shaped in a way that allows the optimal decision. Other responsibilities include the following: Serve as a partner in developing remarks, speeches, and other special messages to internal and external audiences in close partnership with the Communications team, ensuring enterprise-wide message alignment. Offer strategic insights into key themes and messaging based on business context as well as the priorities of the executive and the Take a leadership role with the leadership team, coordinating timely and topical events and process management to ensure that executives' time and impact are Lead special projects (particularly related to strategic issues, organizational activities, ).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates will have a strong record of achievement working in a broad Operations role for a C-Suite leader, or for a public official. Biotechnology experience strongly Prior experience working with Boards of Directors is important and candidates will ideally have helped an organization go through a growth-oriented transformation. EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

The pay scale for this position is $154,500 to $233,458
