Responsibilities About the role:   We have a strategic focus on the globalization of our business. This Head of Domain Architecture is laser-focused on guiding the domain architectural function in GMF across our regions and LOBs, leveraging modern technology and architecture north star principles to help to maintain industry-leading customer satisfaction.  We want a visionary leader to accelerate our transformation journey! If this excites you then we want, you!       In this role, you will: Provide significant input into technology strategy and roadmap; keep up to date on key technology trends and their applied use by in financial services and interact with various business partners (both internal and external) to assist in the design and implementation of business applications leveraging architectural standards.   Building global architecture patterns to govern the security, scalability, sustainability, cost, and overall quality of our infrastructure, systems, content, and data.  You continue and mature our architecture and technical risk functions.    You advise teams of application and solution architects and act as a mentor providing guidance to all team members on technical and architectural issues.   You lead development and maintenance of architectural standards company wide, including patterns, reference architectures, and best practices and ensure adherence to architectural governance routines.    Championing the NorthStar architecture concepts in GMF   You possess strong knowledge of IT operations and support organizations and experience with Design Tools      Reporting Relationship   Reports to: SVP Global Chief Architect   Direct Reports: Domain Architecture team   Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities   Advanced knowledge writing system and user specifications/documentation   Advanced knowledge of software design and modeling, and associated tools   Advanced knowledge of current application design patterns (e.g. micro-services, API, etc.)   Advanced knowledge of designing applications for global markets   Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in application development, software, solution, and enterprise architecture, with a track record of increasing responsibilities leading architecture teams.  Demonstrated ability to transform teams and technology in a rapidly growing environment, in an Agile, high-velocity way.    Experience with Domain capabilities framework (BIAN preferred) and how to effectively implement it in an enterprise environment.  Experience architecting solutions in multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud environments required.  Experience working in a highly regulated business domain such as financial services or health care preferred.     Experience      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.   Master’s degree preferred.  Greater than 10 years of progressively responsible experience in technology roles. 7-10 years management or leadership experience What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.  Our Culture: Our team members define and shape our culture.
