Territory: Palm Harbor Sarasota Bradenton Port Charlotte Gainesville Brooksville SCOPE OF ROLE: Drive the sales and marketing efforts in a defined area and lead the Sales/Business Development Team, as well as, work in a Matrix environment with a team of Clinical Operations leaders. - The Area Director role is essential for maintain and growing the census of our agencies through the efforts of the team that they manage. The team is responsible for generating Home Care referrals – be visible in the community by educating and presenting to referral sources such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and physician/doctors’ offices. Conduct in-services, presentations, educational luncheons, host and attend relevant events by introducing our home health care services to physicians, patients, their families, facility staff and other referral sources. To that end, the Area Director is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and on-going development of each individual on their respective team. In addition, it is imperative that the Area Director foster a shoulder to shoulder relationship with the clinical team starting with Senior leadership down to the clinical managers. This is a role where you will have autonomy, flexibility and setting your own schedule. We would expect you to spend most of your time in the field as this is not a “behind the desk” role. REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Area Director reports directly into the Executive Vice President of Sales. The Area Director directly oversees all administrative and strategic efforts of the sales representatives in their assigned area. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Must have minimum of 5 years Healthcare Sales and Marketing/ Business Development Experience. Must have minimum of 2 years Sales Management experience. Must have understanding of Post-Acute Healthcare continuum. Must have four-year College Degree. Existing relationships in the Area are preferred. Ability to recruit, hire and train sales professionals. Core Competencies: Excellent communicator, skilled negotiator, able to work in Matrix environment, strategic thinker, customer focused, entrepreneurial, high integrity, strong leadership skills, results driven Licensed Clinical experience is preferred Excellent People and Relationship Skills (referral sources, patients, family members, general public) Strong ability to present and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) Ability to work well independently as well as in groups. Enthusiastic, highly motivated personality, self-starter, genuine, empathetic, problem solving skills Knowledgeable regarding standards of practice for all services offered Valid and current driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance. Ability to travel to multiple job sites and attend required meetings Strong critical thinking and strategic sales skills EXPECTATIONS: Direct and Manage the Sales, Marketing and Business Development efforts of a team of sales professionals selling Skilled Intermittent Medicare Certified Home Health services to members of the healthcare community. Provide strategic direction, supervision and guidance to a sales team and take the lead in Key Account relationships, Partnerships, ACO's, etc. Execute a business plan in conjunction with your Clinical Operations counterpart to exceed the targets established for the company budget. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Work with Sales Representatives to organize territories, create business plans and exceed sales goals Ride along with members of your team to coach, mentor and guide their efforts Maintain key relationships within the area with key accounts and decision makers Work shoulder to shoulder with area and branch operations leaders to execute plans Identify new targets and develop strategies and plan to develop business Utilize Company provided tools and resources to effectively mange team and hold team accountable for results Carries out the mission and vision of the team Exceed monthly qualified admission target Utilize company EMR and CRM to manage customers Communicate regularly and effectively with team Communicate with leadership Follow Corporate Compliance Rules and regulations Be a student of the business As an employer accepting Medicare and Medicaid funds, employees must comply with all health-related requirements in all relevant jurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons as appropriate.
