Hospice Aide PRN

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Functions

As a Hospice Caregiver, you will provide exceptional care and support to patients while embodying our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Responsibilities encompass maintaining a professional demeanor, providing personal care, and promoting comfort and safety. You'll play an essential role in patient care, including assessments, hygiene, communication with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining a clean environment. Your commitment to excellence and compassion will contribute to a caring and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.

Required Education/Experience                          

High School Diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited school. Proof of completing a nursing assistant training program (certificate or state certification). Must have worked as a nurse’s aide, have related work experience, or have completed the nurse’s aide program within the last 24 months.

Current South Carolina Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance as required by low if providing hospice homecare.
