_Houston Methodist Physician Organization is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pulmonologist to join our established group of three pulmonary physicians in Houston, Texas at our Willowbrook Campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing and contributing to the growth of the hospital's lung nodule program._ **_Responsibilities:_** + _Provide expert clinical care to patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including but not limited to lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and sleep disorders._ + _Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis, stage of disease, and overall health status._ + _Collaborate with other specialists, including thoracic surgeons, radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurse navigators and respiratory therapists, to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with lung cancer._ + _Actively attends and participates in thoracic tumor board and lung nodule multidisciplinary conferences._ + _Participate in the development and implementation of the hospital's lung cancer screening program and work towards establishing a comprehensive lung cancer care program._ + _Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding their condition, treatment options, and self-management techniques._ + _Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including performance improvement projects and clinical research, to enhance patient outcomes and advance the field of pulmonary medicine._ + _Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices._ + _Collaborate with other members of the pulmonary team to provide seamless and coordinated care to patients._ + _Stay updated with the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine through ongoing professional development and education._ **_Qualifications:_** + _Medical degree from an accredited medical school_ + _Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine_ + _Proven clinical experience in managing a wide range of pulmonary conditions_ + _Strong interest in developing and contributing to a lung cancer program_ + _Excellent communication and interpersonal skills_ + _Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment_ + _Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice_ + _Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently_ _Houston Methodist offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
