HR Generalist
Overview

Partners with management within specific business units to develop and implement HR solutions designed to improve/enhance the employee experience. Provides general Human Resources support such as identifying and clarifying performance problems and coaching and counseling managers and employees. Partners with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Shared Services on HR priorities to ensure delivery and implementation of HR solutions. Works under general direction.


Responsibilities
Supports the HR Business Partners in developing human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, including employee engagement surveys; recommends courses of action.Improves manager and employee experience by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; and coaching and counseling managers and employees.Maintains management and employee confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential.Collaborates with centralized HR staff within specialized functions, such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and total rewards, to ensure a positive employee experience in each of these areas.  Works together to provide solutions and new opportunities, as appropriate. Provides guidance and support to management during the implementation of new/revised Human Resources programs, such as career framework and learning & development opportunities. Provides guidance and support to managers and employees in all aspects of performance management, including support around coaching, performance conversations, and annual performance reviews. Collaborates with HR Business Partners in the identification of high-potentials and succession planning for critical roles.Leads Human Resources projects designed to improve/enhance the employee experience.  Clarifies project objectives, sets timetables and schedules, conducts research, communicates project status and issues, resolves concerns, and prepares summary reports for management review. Ensures all HR programs comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.Keeps abreast of the latest human resources trends and best practices by participating in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.  Makes recommendations based on this knowledge.Participates in other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, a related field or the equivalent work experience required.  Master’s degree preferred. SPHR, SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum three years of Human Resources experience required. Prior experience in two or more of the following areas required: change management, talent management, career/succession planning, workforce metrics and forecasting, project management, performance management, complaint investigation/resolution, training, and application of policies.  Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills required.  Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in making critical decisions.  Strong project management skills required.
