Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Manager with expertise in Employee Relations and Internal Investigations to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in fostering a fair and supportive workplace environment by addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and labor laws. Based in Sacramento, California, this position offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership and contribute to organizational growth by promoting a culture of integrity and respect. Responsibilities: • Respond to and address employee concerns, including complaints, harassment allegations, and other workplace issues, to ensure a fair and positive environment. • Conduct thorough internal investigations into grievances and complaints, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary to ensure proper resolution. • Develop and implement corrective measures to address identified risks and resolve instances of misconduct effectively. • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application and development of company policies and procedures. • Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend actionable improvements to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. • Monitor workplace climate to identify emerging issues and implement strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment. • Provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and legal standards. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. • A minimum of five years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations and internal investigations. • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and disciplinary procedures. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflict and resolve issues effectively. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to navigate sensitive and complex situations. • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive matters. • Certifications in workplace investigations or human resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
