Industrial Electrician

 

Summary: Seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician with strong troubleshooting skills to maintain equipment and systems, troubleshoot electrical problems, and ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

High school education or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience in a commercial/industrial setting. Preferred Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent. Basic knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC) and NFPA 70. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics. Proficiency in using electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, communicators, oscilloscopes, pH meters, infrared thermometers, and ultrasonic devices. Experience in installing and working with electrical circuits, conduit, wire, and terminal devices/controllers. Knowledge of single and multiphase motor control circuits, relays, limit switches, potentiometers, capacitors, inductors, transducers, transmitters, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD). Familiarity with grounding and bonding practices in an industrial setting. Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial lighting systems. Knowledge of heat tracing systems and their controllers. Understanding of electrical distribution systems and motor control centers (MCC). Familiarity with security systems and routine maintenance of such systems. Basic understanding of industrial heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Proficiency in electrical theory, National Electric Code (NEC) requirements, and the use of electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in equipment and systems. Perform bench and field testing using electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment. Install and maintain small-scale electrical circuit/distribution jobs, including conduit, wire, and terminal devices/controllers. Disconnect, reconnect, and troubleshoot motor control circuits. Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits, including relays, limit switches, capacitors, transducers, PLCs, and VFDs. Ensure proper grounding and bonding in the field. Repair and install industrial lighting systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heat tracing systems. Label electrical lines/circuits for proper identification. Maintain the site's security system and perform routine maintenance and repairs. Perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance of HVAC systems. Conduct pH rounds on site systems to ensure accurate readings. Follow electrical theory, NEC regulations, and safety protocols in all work activities.
