We are actively recruiting an Interior Designer to join our collaborative and innovative firm in our Workplace Interiors market sector in our New York City office location. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated designer looking to showcase their creative talents  across challenging and unique project opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

At Corgan we offer opportunities for both personal and professional growth through a wide range of project responsibilities and leadership roles. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate on a variety of projects in scale and scope. Our ideal designer is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise. Some of these responsibilities include:

 

Assist in all phases of the design process on a variety of projects in size and scopeGenerate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a projectFoster a productive partnership with the client and project delivery team through regular communication and collaboration Utilize appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materialsSupport the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasksCollaborate with project teams serving as concept champions throughout the projectExecute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documentsApply knowledge of construction methods and timelinesMaintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and productsContribute to the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipmentActively contribute to the production of major components of a thorough set of construction documentsAssist with contract administration responsibilitiesConduct field verification and site visits as needed Qualifications

Qualified designers already exhibit these strengths and talents:

Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent3+ years of experience in commercial design; Workplace Interiors experience strongly preferredDisplay strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing Revit proficiency and technical excellenceInterest in sustainable design Professional registration or anticipation of registrationStrong organizational and communication skillsAttention to detailFlexible attitudeAbility to collaborate in a diverse project team environment Confident presentation ability
