Intern - School Launch Team - (Immediate Opening)
Description

Role Mission The School Launch Project Management Intern supports the Director of School Launch and the Operations Leadership Team with implementation and coordination of critical projects, initiatives, logistics, and data analysis. The School Launch Project Management Intern is crucial to ensuring the BOY experience is organized, effective, and creates long-lasting value for internal and external stakeholders, as well as students and families.

 

Qualifications

Education: High School DiplomaEnrolled in College or Degree completed preferred but not requiredAble to work 20-25 hours a weekStrong organizational and communication skills with a positive attitudeProficient with Microsoft Office programsAbility to work a nontraditional schedule (evenings, weekends, select holidays) as neededBilingual Spanish speaker strongly preferred, but not required

 

School Launch Project Support

Ensure accountability amongst the cross-functional team involved in BOY on metrics and committee next steps and executionInstitutionalize processes by capturing them in project management system Increase the visibility and status of all projects for both internal and external partners by tracking and monitoring projects in project management systemSupport in attendance, note-taking, and communication during cross-functional project meetingsSearch, identify and establish community partnerships in launching and existing regionsFollow up on clear and consistent tracking mechanisms for enrollment data across Rhodes, EMSL, and campus-based launching staffCoordinate clear communication between EMSL team and launching APOs on marketing resources, timelines, and next stepsMonitor deadlines for different projects, and project manage and track them to completionEnsure enrollment resources are delivered on time to launching regions and campusesPartner with EMSL team to ensure templates are up-to-date and easily customizableServe as the supporting customer service representative to launching operations staff to build organized approach across IDEA systems, processes and materials needed for BOYTrack goal attainment across teams and campusesMonitor and ensure all School Launch Hub sites are up-to-dateManage operating calendar for School Launch Team and launching campus team eventsPartner with Enrollment Manager to logistically organize at least one Super Recruitment Day per new campusServe as liaison between all project teams, identifying trends heard/observed within various launch and project team meetings and following up on all action itemsMay include logistics support such as venue booking and/or catering for meetingsWork with the IDEA Business Office when necessary to relay important informationSupport in the design and implementation of strategic project plansIntern will collaborate with Director to align on project vision, scope, and sequence Intern will research and contribute ideas to each project planInterns will work across various internal departments to ensure the execution of all next-steps from the project plan(s)Interns will assist in creating tasks and requests in project management software, and tracking the timely delivery of eachInterns will assist in weekly tracking / reporting of each project’s status and percent completionInterns will assist with student and staff recruitment and enrollment efforts as needed. Travel (including possibly some air travel) may be involved.

 

Administrative Support 

Planning, logistics and execution for project and tasks Analyzing data and feedback, reporting Admin / clerical supportData entry & reportingAccurately submit and reconcile per diem, travel, business expenses, and corporate card charges in ConcurVendor research, onboarding, and gathering of quotesMonitor and provide monthly reports on travel-related expenses

 

Other Duties as Assigned

Most of the time on the clock is expected to be in a supportive role with the School Launch Team; however, as a member of the Operations Team, interns may be asked to support the following campus Beginning of Year (BOY) prep:

Enrollment supportAnnual Forms CollectionADA callsAssist families with New Applications, Registration and Re-registrations via phone calls or in personEvent Coordination/ Family CommunicationsOther duties as assigned by manager

 

Job Specifications

Commitment:  May 2024 – August 2024Location: Live within an existing IDEA Texas RegionCompensation: $10.00-$12.00 per hour depending on regionHours: afternoon, nights and weekend * Flexible depending on tasks
