Overview

At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.


Responsibilities

$15,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates!!

Assists with pre-procedure education and preparing patient for procedureScrubs and assists physicians during proceduresPerforms monitoring function throughout procedures. Documents information in patient recordPerforms arterial and/or venous sheath removal utilizing deployment of closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression and transport patientsPerforms daily maintenance, quality assurance testing, equipment cleaning, and supply re-stockingEffectively communicates and works cooperatively with team members, patients, families, guests, and providersOn-call rotation may be required and must be able to respond to emergent within 30 minutes of notificationParticipates in all safety, security, and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the departmentDemonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security, infection control, and HIPAA policiesResource floating within the metro area may be required in order to provide staffing support to other campuses
Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology

Licensure & Certifications

Radiologic Technologist RT(R) credential from the ARRT OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI. New graduates who are registry eligible may be considered. RT(R) or RCIS credential must be obtained within 6 months of start date.Radiology Technologists must possess a Medical Radiographer License in Nebraska and/or a Diagnostic Radiographer Permit in Iowa to practice BLS Certification from the American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of start date

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of radiographic views and equipment Knowledge of EKG rhythms and abnormalities

Knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy
