Inventory Control- Cycle Counter

TITLE:      Inventory Cycle Counter

BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:     

Conducts physical inventory counts and warehouse case maintenance.  Researches, reports discrepancies and prepares weekly reports. 

Salary: Competitive Wages - The pay range is $19.93 to $21 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compares and reconciles physical inventory counts to those maintained in the inventory system Reconciles physical and financial inventories in LCS Monitors chargeback, RTV and store return activity Completes research to determine reason why pallets cannot be slotted by the inventory system Completes necessary system maintenance to ensure accurate inventory accountability Completes warehouse case maintenance (physically measuring case dimensions, verifying slot heights and performing necessary computer entries) Making entries for store returns and printing various related reports Verify total case count assembled by warehouse assemblers to store invoice when applicable Reports discrepancies to warehouse supervisor Recap audit results for weekly reporting

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in counting product with multiple layers and varying cases per layer Possess excellent math skills, figure aptitude and 10-key calculator skills Good telephone and organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work with minimum supervision Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk to various locations within the warehouse facility, move rapidly, end, stoop, and twist and turn frequently.  Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are necessary Some lifting of product cases required (up to 50 lbs) Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between -5 to 70 degrees.  Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas.  Ear plugs are available upon request. Possess good oral and written communications skills internally as well as with vendors Stamina for working in a warehouse environment Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions.  Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.  Work environment is hectic and fast paced.
