We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual to join our Freehold, NJ Team as Inventory Control Intern for the summer season.   The Inventory Control Intern is responsible for inventory accuracy and executing the company’s daily cycle counting program which includes, but shall not be limited to, verifying the accuracy of all product in the warehouse, including location, quantity, SKU, date codes, etc. The Inventory Control Specialist position Responsibilities include: 

 

Perform daily cycle counts following set company procedures and guidelines.  Research, Identify and reconcile variances on a daily basis. Work with other departments and the Inventory Manager to perform a root cause analysis to determine the source of the variance. Prepare daily inventory variance and reconciliation reports for the Warehouse and Inventory Manager and Inventory Control Supervisor. Help to prepare and take part in all physical inventories scheduled by the CompanyWork with the Inventory Manager to develop and implement improvement processes and systems to increase inventory accuracy and minimize costs Participate in special projects and Perform additional duties as required 

Necessary Skills/Characteristics 

Excellent Math, written, and verbal communication skills. This position requires work to be performed in a temperature controlled warehouse and cooler.Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.Process-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience using Supply Chain management and/or Warehouse Management Systems Proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
