Role + Purpose:

J.Crew Group is looking for a dynamic Tech Lead who brings passion, experience and creativity to estimate, design and deliver digital features for our J.Crew Mobile App.  This person will help deliver our first J.Crew mobile app and establish our internal Mobile App support team.

Responsibilities Include: 

Collaborate among a cross-functional team comprised of Product Owner, Project Manager, Quality Engineers, DevOps Engineers and eCommerce EngineersWrite high quality code to deliver application features within deadlines Review code written by teammatesProvide accurate level-of-effort estimates given business requirementsMonitor performance of existing features using logs and Application Performance Monitoring tools to identify opportunities for improvement Triage application bugs (debug and delegate to appropriate engineers) Understand and help facilitate our release processDocument features for business clients and technical colleaguesEncourage and inspire a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, collaboration and technical excellence

Technical Qualifications:

10+ years’ experience in the design, development of large-scale mobile applications of which minimum 5+ in iOSProfessional experience with Swift, SwiftUI and Swift Packages a mustShould also be proficient with the MVVM architecture pattern, OOPs concepts, Network Layer implementations especially using AlamofireExperience with iOS frameworks including Core Data, Core Animation, Core Location, UI Kit, KeychainExperience with Lottie a plusFamiliarity with concurrency (async/await) Experience writing and supporting unit tests with XCTest.  Diligence in aspiring to full test coverageIn-depth understanding of Apple recommended design principles, interface guidelines and coding best practicesFamiliarity with consuming RESTful and Graphql APIs to connect power iOS applicationsShould have experience in identifying challenges and/or gaps in approaches; recommending solutions for optimizationExperience with Agile development methodology (preferably Scrum)Experience with CI/CD and development lifecycle tools (GIT, JIRA etc.)A strong understanding of approaches and techniques to optimize performance and memory consumptionHighly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners and technical team members to deliver high quality productsShould have experience working with teams distributed across the globe and across time zonesExperience in app development for retail domain is an added advantage

Salary Range: $97,600.00 - $122,000.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
