IT Asset Management Coordinator

The IT Asset Management Coordinator at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is a vital role responsible for enhancing and executing IT asset management processes to ensure a compliant and optimized IT hardware and software environment. This role is both challenging and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee physical and administrative tasks related to IT Asset Management, including IT procurement, software license management, stockroom hardware management, inventory audits, cycle counts, hardware distribution, and physical/administrative receiving. Maintain and update inventory records in the corporate ERP system, coordinate asset recovery from remote locations, and manage equipment disassembly for disposal in accordance with department and security policies. Develop and maintain job aids, support documentation, and procedures to support the IT Asset Management function. Assist in creating and maintaining policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements that enable effective management of the IT asset portfolio, focusing on risk, cost, control, compliance, and business performance objectives. Collaborate with the IT Project Coordinator to ensure the availability and timely deployment of hardware for facility renovations, expansions, and acquisitions. Serve as a backup to the IT Project Coordinator when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Degree Experience: 3-5 years of experience in asset management

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s Degree in a technical field Experience: Previous experience in an Information Technology-related area

Core Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Foster positive working relationships across departments to optimize communication and collaboration. Participate in daily on-call support, including evenings, for the medical center’s information services operations. Track and report on the location, description, and associated user information for hardware and software assets. Establish and manage a centralized IT equipment depot, ensuring sufficient stocking levels. Assist in the receiving, asset tagging, storing, tracking, and deployment of IT equipment. Lead IT asset-related audits, collecting asset information and managing asset inventory projects. Work closely with business units to handle equipment requests. Operate electronic hardware to erase or destroy data from devices, ensuring data security. Utilize software applications like Remedy to automate and optimize asset management processes.
