IT Infrastructure Analyst III

The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Information Technology Infrastructure at Aerospace and Defense sites to ensure the availability, stability, and security of systems and networks.  This role includes analyzing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

Installs and supports server and desktop technologies for the centralized division and/or facility equipment (including operating system maintenance, application maintenance, data archive).

Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure, including desktops, servers, routers, switches, and other networking devices.

Provide timely technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff.

Configure and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability.

Implement and maintain corporate defined security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

Collaborate with corporate and other IT teams to integrate new technologies and systems with existing infrastructure.

Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

May require working off hours as business needs arise.

Ensure the business is following corporate policies and procedures.

Evaluate existing IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT infrastructure management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience working as an IT infrastructure analyst or similar role.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.

Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCSE, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

Experience with enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS).

Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.

Experience with configuration management tools.

Other:

Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a US Citizen or Green card holder.

Travel:  20%

Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English.
