Scope of Responsibility: 

Network Infrastructure Oversight: Monitor and manage the functionality of network infrastructure and the security, ensuring it meets business needs. Device and Password Management: Responsible for overseeing device management and password protocols. Data Backup and System Security: Oversee data backup processes and system security operations, including user authorization and firewalls. Hardware and Software: Manage installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware and software. Performance Assessment: Assess system performance and recommend improvements. Issue Resolution: Address issues escalated by technicians and engineers. Compliance and Legal Guidelines: Ensure data handling adheres to legal and company guidelines. Vendor Management: Manage contracts with vendors (e.g., development platforms, telecommunication companies, password managers) and software licenses. Policy Development: Develop and implement IT policies and practices. Budget: Help design annual budgets. Manage and maintain the IT Budgets throughout the year.

 

Specific Duties:

Maintain and monitor the organization’s servers, networks, computer systems, ACS, and cameras. Ensuring optimal service and maintaining a high level of security. Monitors an organization’s servers, networks, and computer systems for irregularities and performance issues. Experience with IT Frameworks such as ITIL, Cobit, and security frameworks: NIST, ISO, SOC2. Be responsible for tracking, management, and maintenance of all devices company wide. Work on multiple complicated projects at once and be able to keep them on budget and on time. Propose new technology and solutions when applicable. Oversee data backup, testing, and restores. Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software. Analyzes IT Infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics. Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers. Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed according to legal and company guidelines. Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems and helps establish annual Capex/Opex budgets. Develop and maintains relationships with vendors on quotes, maintenance, and services. Maintain a strict adherence to our MFA policies through the management of DUO. Develop IT policies and practices and creates documentation of SOPs. Oversees the selection and training of qualified IT personnel and provide ongoing training to existing staff. Oversees budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing. Ensures compliance with all internal organization standards as a step towards sustained quality of service. Lead the team in quarterly exercises testing and developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Manages the PC Support group, Network group, and Systems group.

 

Requirements and Skills: Experience: Proven experience as an IT Operations Manager with 10+ years in an IT management role. Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Server and Active Directory Environment. Knowledge of VMWare systems, HyperV and strong understanding of Virtual environments. Experience with Office 365 and all Microsoft Cloud Applications, including experience working with Azure, Entra, Exchange, Purview, Defender, and more. Familiarity with AWS Environment. Strong networking background and an understanding of the Cisco IOS environment. Network Expertise: Cisco, Meraki, Cisco Firewalls, MPLS, SD-WAN, Site-to-Site VPN. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and organize teams, set schedules, have weekly meetings with other leaders and staff. Communication: Outstanding communication skills. This position will be required to communicate with other IT team members, other departments, and outside vendors multiple times a day. Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving complex issues and thinking outside of the box when needed. Projects: This position will handle several ongoing projects at a time and will need to have familiarity with Project Management software and be able to maintain the projects throughout their life. Travel: Be able to travel up to 15% of the year to visit our other locations. Education: BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field. MS preferred. Will look at industry experience as a substitute on a case-by-case basis. Certifications are a plus.
