IT Senior Engineer, Software (Hybrid)

IT Senior Engineer, Software (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

This role will act as both the technical lead and a hands-on developer supporting the Supply Chain, Real Estate, and Facilities product line at Eversource. The software engineer will be actively involved in the entire lifecycle of products in this space, including both capital projects and operational support, and ranging from project initiation and planning, to designing and implementing new solutions, to modifying and maintaining existing systems, to product replacement and retirement.

The software engineer will report to the Product Line Manager, who will provide high-level direction to align on priorities and goals, but within those guidelines, the software engineer will have a high degree of autonomy. This is a senior-level role, and as such, will be expected to work proactively to identify issues, problem solve, and bring workable solutions to the table. This role will engage directly with IT management, software development teams, technical product support teams, IT architecture and security, and external vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a strong sense of personal responsibility and be highly self-motivated, and able to manage multiple concurrent priorities. Ultimately, we're looking for someone who will drive successful, on-time delivery of technology solutions, driving down technical debt, building up the overall maturity of our software development lifecycle, and becoming a technical subject matter expert in this product line.
