IT Systems Support Engineer (AWS)
Summary

Asset Management One (AMO) is a New York-based quantitative asset manager (SEC-registered investment adviser and CFTC registered CTA/CPO) with approximately $8 billion AUM.  We are seeking an IT Systems & Support Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with Head of Information Technology (Head of IT) to provide:

IT SupportSupport each department’s firm-wide IT needs.Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support in collaboration with internal and external resources.Perform root cause analysis for production errors.Investigate and resolve technical issues.Assist in designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.Collaborate with managed service providers (vendors) to oversee, administer, and maintain the firm’s IT entire infrastructure stack.Collaborate with the firm’s team in Tokyo to manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (including AWS) shared across multiple offices.Assist with production incident response.Assist with the IT platform integration/optimization project for the newly merged entity, encompassing end user support, database support, IAAS support, and cloud infrastructure migrations.

Information SecurityWork with the Head of IT to develop, maintain and manage the Information Security Program (including incident response plan)Assist with conducting and managing information security audit, risk assessment and testing (cybersecurity risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and system entitlement review)Assist the quantitative strategies team in maintaining the governance of source code.Protect the organization from cyber-attacks and threats.Work with IT service providers to implement appropriate information security measures for the networks, cloud storages, systems and applications used by the firm.

Requirements3+ years as an IT Systems & Support Engineer or similar role1-year hands-on administration of AWS-based infrastructureExcellent understanding of Microsoft 365, networking (LAN, WAN, & WiFi), MFA (multi-factor authentication), Windows 10, and PC & laptop hardwareWorking knowledge of databases and SQLStrong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of projects and tasks assignedHighly organized and self-motivatedProcess and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and team-focused attitudeClear written and verbal communication skillsBSc in Computer Science or engineering, or a relevant field
