The Jr. Accountant will support the Accounting Manager in month-end closing process for the corporate office, including preparing and posting journal entries.

This position is based in St. Louis, MO and is hybrid in the office 3 days a week. 

Responsibilities:

Involved in month-end closing process for the corporate office, including preparing and posting journal entries. Analysis of corporate general ledger. Perform monthly reconciliations. Communicate with various corporate departments and Regional Controllers regarding general ledger transactions. Participate in the annual corporate budget process. Document corporate accounting procedures as needed. Assist with special projects as directed by Supervisor. Complete Census reporting forms as received. Prepare and gather data for the external and internal auditors to complete audits.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting required Minimum – 0-3 years’ experience Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word Excellent communication and organizational skills Possess ability to work independently and as a team player Must be accurate and detailed oriented Excellent customer service skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills 

Experience with AS400 systems a plus
