Role: Junior Buyer

 

Trimax Mowing Systems is a family-owned company that designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes tractor-powered mowing equipment. Our aim is to create mowing solutions which focus on low Total-Cost-of-Ownership and a long commercial life. We design products which are safe, efficient, and intuitive to use.

 

In this role, you will provide valuable support to our procurement specialist and senior management team while closely collaborating with multiple departments to determine their unique procurement requirements. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating various supplier options and pricing, diligently monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring the prompt delivery of goods and services. Additionally, your focus will be on optimizing costs, streamlining procurement processes, maintaining meticulous records, and upholding ethical sourcing practices.

Responsibilities:


Place & follow up purchase orders. Maintain supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise. New supplier set up & invoicing. Follow up to ensure accounts payable are equipped with all necessary info prior to payments being made. Monitor inventory levels and track orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies. Drive cost savings with a focus in indirect procurement & MRO. Solicit quotes from a diverse range of suppliers, evaluating pricing, quantity, and delivery. schedules. Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required.

 

Qualifications:


Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with order acknowledgement processes and banking information verification. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and possess the ability to adapt to new software systems. A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies. Effective time-management and organizational skills.

Job Type:

Full-time Wage: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
