The role
The Infrastructure team is a sub pillar team of Infrastructure Operations. The Engineers are responsible for building and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Dun & Bradstreet Infrastructure environment.
You will take care of the incidents connected to the Dun & Bradstreet Infrastructure environment (datacenters, hardware, software, servers, AD/DNS, backups and the supporting tools and processes). You will spend most of your time working with Infrastructure related tasks, projects and incidents. The responsibilities will not only be on a local level but on a group level.
You will collaborate closely with your team members distributed all over D&B Europe and with your Tech Lead and Team Manager.  You will also work closely with other Infrastructure teams as well as other departments within Dun & Bradstreet.ResponsibilitiesManaging and monitoring all the installed systems and infrastructureInstalling, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systemsEnsuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityMaintaining the backup and redundancy strategiesProviding 2nd and 3rd level of supportLiaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionRegistering and Solving incidents and problemsTroubleshooting the issues that are reported regarding our Infrastructure environmentsBeing customer friendly to our internal and external customersAutomationAssisting with security patchingAssisting with security tasksSkillsWork experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux/UNIX based environments.Knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux administration and architectureKnowledge in Apache2 and NginxExperience in system engineering as well as building up and maintaining IT infrastructureScripting skills preferable in PythonExperience in handling Virtual MachinesExperience in patch managementExperience with monitoring systems (Splunk/Zabbix)Automation experienceBasic networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, logs, network structures and technology)Experience in working with virtual teams (spread all over Europe) and helping out in projectsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsBeing a team player and self-goingBe willing to adapt to new technologies and have the interest of investigating new technologies and solutionsFluent in EnglishEager to learn new technologiesOpen for travelOpen for flexible working hours (evening work and service weekend work)Nice to haveBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectCertificates in GCUX/LPI or similar certificationCloud experience preferable GCPHave a security interestBeing quality-oriented Being curious and flexibleExperience of working with on callAll Dun & Bradstreet job postings can be found at and .
