The Lab Medical Assistant III - Phlebotomy is responsible for:
Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testingCommunications with nursing regarding patient specimensReferring specimens to outside laboratories Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab testsPerformance of phlebotomy proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned
Credentials:
Driver's License in the State of Florida Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)Or ASCP Or AMT (Medical Technologists) Or Paramedic Or EMT (Emergency) Or Medical Technologist Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of FloridaEducation:
Required High School or equivalent
Experience:
Required 6 months in phlebotomy And 6 months BayCare RelatedPreferred 1 year of phlebotomy Facility:BayCare Health System, Lab Central Processing-NBH
Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
Shift: Shift 3
Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
Weekend Work: Every Other
