As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the CIB Security Services Tech team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities:

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Demonstrated proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods. Assist in automating deployments through production release cycles and provide troubleshooting for L3 support work.  Interact with front and middle office teams and other business users in providing support/solutions for client queries or productions incidents. Analyze production issues and document RCA and issue-corrective actions in line with LOB standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Advanced in one or more programming language(s) – Java/Microservices Experience in Rest UI and other JavaScript framework is required. Experience in Oracle SQL or other RDMS is required. In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Expert experience with design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment Strong hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (Spring Boot or equivalent framework) Experience with Message broker platforms (Kafka is a plus) In depth knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture (AWS Experience is a plus), Microservice Architecture and related stacks, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
