Lecturer and Advisor, Undergraduate Environmental Justice Specialization
The University of Maryland School of Public Health SPH Department of Global Environmental and Occupational Health is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual for the position of Lecturer and Advisor professional track in the area of environmental justice This is a 10 month academic year professional track teaching position with the possibility of renewal and a non tenure promotion track This position will include teaching and advising responsibilities for the multidisciplinary undergraduate major in Environmental Science and Policy with a specialization in Environmental Justice ENSP EJResponsibilities Teach five to six courses per academic year including two per semester in the areas of environmental justice the built environment and public health racism and health disparities andor environmental health Advise ENSP EJ students on scheduling courses experiential learning credits and career planning Additional responsibilities may include attending and participating in program planning meetings participating in program assessment and evaluation assisting with the revision of syllabi and curriculum revisions serving on departmental school and campus committees engaging in service to the Department of Global Environmental and Occupational Healths undergraduate andor MPH programs and the Environmental Science and Policy Undergraduate Program
