Job Summary

Our Legal Assistants are key players in providing a range of legal and administrative support, including drafting documents, maintaining and organizing files, and conducting legal research in order to support legal counsel and others in the legal department.
THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID WORKMODEL, ON SITE 3 DAYS PER WEEK AT OUR NEW CORPORATE HQ LOCATED AT 700 Cranberry Woods Drive, Cranberry Township, located off I-79 and the turnpike. North of Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description

Experience Required: 3-5 years law firm or corporate legal department experience;Notary, or willingness to become a notaryTechnical Experience Desired: iManage Document Management System, CounselLink, LicenceHQEducation Desired: High school diploma or equivalent

Job Responsibilities

Draft and prepare legal correspondence, forms, documents, check and wire requests and other materials to be mailed, submitted or otherwise distributed to agencies, law firms, and other entities.Draft documents for the transactions of the various business areas of the Company.Update business contacts, third parties and supervising counsel on the status of projects; track transactions through to completion.Write, create, maintain, organize files for all matters, including working files and formal legal files - both paper and electronic files.Summarize reports for counsel to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.Maintain calendar, contacts, telephone calls, voicemail and other duties to ensure smooth office functionsPrepare records, research, organize and analyze information while maintaining databases and files.Assist counsel by contacting Team Members, witnesses, counsel and vendors to schedule interviews, meetings and depositions.Assist counsel by taking notes and handling documents for review and case preparation.Other projects as requested such as: filing original UCC financing statements, amendments and terminations (for Independent Retailers); track tobacco inspections and work with paralegals and outside counsel for any violations; track litigation and maintain litigation files and records of training materials.Become generally familiar with and knowledgeable regarding the substance of matters assigned.Maintain extreme confidentiality of all financial, Team Member and other sensitive information.
