Job Summary This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience. Duties and Responsibilities + Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas. + Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods. + Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces. + Perform wound care and deliver patient education. + Answer triages, as needed or directed. + Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed. + Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information. + Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries. + Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards. + Audit new patient charts. + Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area. + Train others as needed or directed. + Perform any responsibilities of a Medical Assistant, as needed or directed. + Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Requirements and Qualifications + Valid NYS LPN License. + 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients. + Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred. + EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred. Physical Demands + Involves standing and walking for entire duration of shift. + Team member will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. + Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
