Summary:
Works as part of a Team to convert the fresh and wholesome foods we receive into the finished ingredients that will be assembled into menu items for our Guests. Trained in VG Kitchen standards and are expected to follow these standards while working. Help to ensure consistent execution to deliver delicious, beautiful, quality food within ticket time standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
Ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation
Be conscious of food mistakes and waste
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the Cook's line
Maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles.
Maintain a positive working relationship with the team
Prepare and cook food according to orders.
Maintains a friendly and service-focused attitude throughout the shift
Complete tasks for shift transition and closing.
Check in and out with Kitchen Manager when starting and ending shift.
