Licensed Practical Nurse

Full Time, Hospice Inpatient

Our team of professionals, caregivers and trained volunteers are dedicated to providing both medical and emotional support to patients and families. We currently employ more than 200 staff members and have a volunteer core of over 100 dedicated people.

The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the supervision and assignment of the Registered Nurse, provides nursing care to hospice patients and/or family within a Hospice Inpatient Center.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience caring for terminally ill patients and will demonstrate understanding and commitment to the hospice concept. Experience in home care, skilled nursing facilities and/or oncology preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to work non-judgmentally with patients and families of many cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles as well as good listening, computer and verbal skills. Flexibility is essential.

Minimum Requirements:

Current and valid NY State license to practice as a LPN Minimum of two years prior bedside nursing experience required

 

 The pay for this position ranges from $32.00-$40.00 per year.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
