Job Description SummaryJob Profile Summary
Perform and direct care for patients of all ages in the SHMG Clinic to include, but not limited to, assessing vital functions, assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers by performing venipuncture and basic lab tests, administering medications, and maintaining sample drugs. May perform administrative duties as required to include coding, billing and front-office functions.
Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or Equivalent Must be a “Certified” Medical Assistant (CMA) – a graduate of a Medical Assistant program that awards certification and/or credentials by examination.  Southeast Health recognizes and accepts the following credentials for CMA applicants:

Successful completion of Southeast Health pharmacology exam BCLS certification (current) Medical office experience preferred

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and orally Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situation
