**Machine Operator - Fabrication Department** **$19.80+ Dekalb, IL** **Overview** We are seeking skilled machine operators to join our fabrication department. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for running sheets of steel through the blaster machine to prepare them for paint. The machine is large and consists of two stations: A Station (loading the sheets and controlling the pace) and B Station (checking quality and off-loading the sheets). Effective communication between both stations is critical to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output. **Responsibilities** + Operate the blaster machine to sandblast sheets of steel. + Load and control the pace of the machine at A Station. + Check quality and off-load sheets at B Station. + Communicate with team members to address any issues promptly. + Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality production. + Use hand and power tools as necessary. + Lift up to 50lbs as required. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of manufacturing experience. + Previous machine operating experience. + Experience in the steel industry. + Familiarity with CNC machines, blueprints, calipers, and machining. + Ability to lift 50lbs. **Why Work Here?** The company recently hired a new CEO with a focus on fully staffing the team and installing newer production machinery.
