Machine Operator

General Purpose: Our Machine Operators fully operate and maintain our machines to meet production deadlines. 

 

Essential Functions:

Operate equipment in the most safe, efficient, and consistent mannerMaintain machine workflow to meet project deadlinesRead job tickets and initiate machine set-ups per job ticket specificationsCount, pack, and label sleeves, cartons, and skidsPerform preventive maintenance on machines as neededEnsure 6S practices are being followed


Requirements:

Experience with manufacturing equipment and machine maintenanceHigh school diploma or G.E.D.Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsDemonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experienceIntermediate computer skillsAbility to work overtime as needed; overtime may be required during busy periods Ability to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation    WestRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
