Maintenance Manager – Maritime Engineer

In-Country Naval Support.

Security Clearance Required

ICI Services is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager – Maritime Engineer to support Kuwait Naval Forces (KNF) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) vessels at the Mohammed Al-Ahmad Kuwait Naval Base, Kuwait City, Kuwait.

Security Clearance:

Applicant must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage all maintenance, repairs, and modifications for applicable equipment in accordance with regulatory agencies and NAVSEA maintenance standards. Maintain work-log compatible with Consolidated Ship Maintenance Plan (CSMP) to track repairs. Liaison between KNF shipboard officers and Maintenance Planning Office to facilitate requests for Technical Assistance and inventory tracking. Prepare recommendations for work and recommend procurement of materials to NAVSEA. Inspect machinery, equipment and vessels outlined in work requests. Ability to direct and delegate repair responsibilities to in-country personnel. Develop Repair Plans and advise ship officers on standard operations to prevent recurrence of maloperation and/or causality.

 

Experience Requirements:

15 years of Engineering experience. Proven maritime engineering experience; preferably in a naval setting. Knowledge of international maritime regulations and port operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.

 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
