About the role
As a Maintenance and Supply Specialist at Babcock, you’ll play a key role in supporting the ongoing sustainment and future enhancement of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) and the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS).
Reporting to the Maintenance and Supply Support Manager, you’ll assist in planning, scheduling, coordinating and delivering critical maintenance and supply services across our communications nodes. With a focus on innovation and independent problem-solving, your contributions will influence maintenance strategies and help shape future capability development in line with business objectives.
About you
With experience in maintenance and supply operations—ideally within a Defence or complex systems environment—you’re confident in your ability to analyse risks, coordinate across teams, and deliver against strict performance and system health indicators.
You’re comfortable working independently, solving complex issues, and making recommendations that improve service outcomes.
You’re a strong communicator who thrives on detail and is confident preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
Significant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles Hold a technical vocational qualification (diploma or associate degree) in related discipline knowledge and understanding of ITAR requirements applicable to the delivery of Maintenance and Supply Support Australian Citizenship required Previous experience in leadership or management of an Engineering function or technical delivery Previous experience working with remote and dispersed teams (desirable)
