Job Summary:
This position coordinates installation, maintenance, and repair work in our manufacturing facilities. This role supervises a team of hourly technicians and trades people to execute work plans of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance of the site’s building equipment and grounds. This role will respond to breakdowns and lead project work.Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems.Coordinate installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work.Supervising and training maintenance technicians.Overseeing technicians during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.).Inspecting and maintaining building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.).Contributing to the development of maintenance budgets and ensuring compliance.Monitoring inventory of materials and equipment.Participating in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations).Ensuring adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.May be responsible for housekeeping staff.SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining building equipment and grounds, ensuring they are in good and safe condition at all times, and contributing to the overall efficiency and functionality of the manufacturing facility.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Facilities/Maintenance, Engineering, or Business with 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.3+ years of supervisory/leadership experienceStrong understanding of building and grounds systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems)Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, blueprints, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Experience with a formal problem-solving methodology including six sigma.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
CMRP, CRL, CREStrong knowledge of TPM, RCM and FMEAProficiency in AutoCAD/ Solid Works, PLC ProgrammingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will lead a team of hourly employees and must be available to off-shifts and weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Often required to sit, repetitive hand motion (such as typing), hear, listen, talk, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, crawl reach overhead push/pull and lift up to 30 pounds. Seldom required to Climb ladders, kneel, squat, crouch, balance or lift up over 50 pounds.
