Maintenance Technician
Overview Performing maintenance, repairs and minor improvements to the community’s building(s) and equipment in an effort to promote a progressive customer service culture. About You Minimum of 1 year's experience in carpentry, general building repair, or a related field. Certified pool operators (CPO) license or certification preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or w/in 90 days of hire. Ability to use ladders and basic hand tools. Skills in the operation, repair, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools. Ability to read and understand labels. Good oral and written communications skills. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). As part of the daily preventative maintenance plan, perform a variety of duties including drywall and wood repair and light painting. Clean and organize respective areas as assigned. Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance to general electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and equipment. Provide response to community alarms and emergencies as directed. May provide “first responder” duties to building alarms and emergencies in conjunction with security team and local agencies. Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in the event of an emergency. Perform other duties as assigned.
