About us: LanzaTech was founded on the belief that we have enough carbon above ground to make everything we need. Through our biorecycling technology, we transform carbon into sustainable raw materials, replacing the need for virgin fossil carbon in consumer goods and transport fuels. We are building the circular carbon economy.

Our impact: To date, we have abated over 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide (the equivalent amount of CO2 needed to charge 30,346,895,586 smartphones) across three commercial plants, and will soon have the capacity to abate 500,000 tons annually with our additional future plants.

With dozens more projects in the pipeline, we are helping global companies like Zara, H&M Move, Coty, and On use recycled carbon to make sustainable consumer products from carbon that would otherwise be emitted from heavy industries such as steel making.

Maintenance Technician I - Temporary to Permanent 
Employment Timeline: Initial contract for 1 month to evaluate performanceContract extended to 6 monthsPermanent Full-Time Hire with strong performance after 6 months
Key dutiesAssist in handling operational emergencies or urgent issues as they ariseMaintaining alarms systems and gas detectors including preventive maintenance tasks basic troubleshooting of HMIMaintaining safety equipment and facilities including but not limited to fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and first aid kitsResponsible for daily waste handlingReview manuals, extract information, and write instructions to provide training to peers and end-users on the proper and safe operation in areas of responsibility Responsible for documenting equipment maintenance and work that was undertaken to ensure accuracy of records in the maintenance record system (i.e. NetSuite)Work with Supply Chain to ensure parts are adequately stocked for maintenance activitiesMaintaining awareness of Health & Safety issues and reporting as appropriateBe an active member of the alarm responder team for afterhours dutiesWilling to work late hours as the job requiresAssist with all areas of work and act as backup for Technician II and Technician III responsibilities
Required Qualifications Excellent communication skillsProblem solving / Decision making skills / Self-StarterResults / Detail oriented, able to work with a sense of urgency.The employee must understand and comply with LanzaTech Safety guidelines and housekeeping practices, trainings and wear appropriate PPE when necessary
