Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat. Overview Are you a problem-solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a resort Maintenance Technician to work the PM shift from 3pm - 11pm and/or various shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our hotel facilities. Key responsibilities include: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC system maintenance. Address guest room issues and respond to maintenance requests. Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces paster, plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim. Cut and lay flooring. Conduct inspections to identify potential problems. Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests. Follow work order procedures. Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times. Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management. Qualifications Basic knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry. Previous maintenance experience in a hotel/ resort environment preferred Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment. Skill in the use of related tools (including both hand and electric tools). Basic English language communication and mathematical skills in order to communicate with co-workers, fully comprehend job assignments and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling. Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 50lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet, for extended periods of time, with the ability to reach, often times overhead. Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally waist high. Ability to work alone with minimal supervision. Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgement. Ability to move and work throughout the hotel for the duration of the shift. Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $19.00/Hr. - $24.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
